Dear Community Member,
It takes a village to raise a child! Do you agree?
Villages are NOT responsible for raising children; and yet, when a community positively engages with children, youth flourish and the community thrives!
With your help, Fit-2-Serve’s Community Bridges programming had over 10,000 youth contacts in 2019. Your gift ensures the continuation and expansion of these youth development programs in 2020.
Give today to support our Community Bridges programs:
Generation-2-Generation – allows 500 Kindergarten and third graders to interact and bond with residents of all seven senior living centers in Mattoon monthly during the academic year and 100 YMCA camp youth who engage during the summer.
Farm-2-Table – supports nutrition education for 200 first graders each month by increasing knowledge of the foods they eat, where it comes from, and how to make healthier choices about what they consume. Students are encouraged to “teach” what they learn to their family, thus creating a small but powerful shift to healthier futures.
School-2-Farm - provides 225 second graders the opportunity to work in our community garden and learn about small scale gardening practices while building life skills such as a strong work ethic, patience, and stewardship of the environment.
Or, you can give an unrestricted gift to support Fit-2-Serve as we equip our youth to serve.
Your gift is extremely important because it provides the resources to create safe learning environments that allow children to grow and become engaged members of our community.
Your donation will make a world of difference to so many children in our community. Thank you for your support.
